Yet another whoops..

I've been forgetting to scribe to this beloved blog..
Oops..

Thursday was test day. I believe I didn't do too bad on that test because the whole identities thing does make sense to me, to an extent.

Friday was moga madness, so we didn't have class.

Today, we are "learning" a new unit called Expontential Functions, and it consists of big words such as logarithmetic, logarithm, applet, tutorial, and FUNCTIONS!!

So far, I hate it. Because I don't understand what the heck is going on, it disagrees with me, and I disagree with it. I sure hope I will understand it within the next few days, because we have another test in roughly 2 weeks.

Yeah.. I'm thinking that i'm liking trig more and more..

Oct. 19th...

Well we are now moving right along to Trigonometric Identities.

I don't really know what to say about them.. We're waiting 2-3 days to hopefully understand exactly what it is. The rules he gave us kind of reminded me of BEDMAS, but i'm sure that it isn't that. We shall see.

Test= 9 days away. I am doubting this one surprisingly.

Thursday, October 8, 2009

I wasn't here yesterday because we were at soccer zones (we lost... against Dauphin.. ugh). We learned about reciprical functions. I assume I can understand it soon.. Study session tonight, fo sho.

Today we learned absolute value functions, and how to graph/sketch them. Kind of hard stuff, but I will get myself to the point of understanding.

Test= 6 days away.. Hm.

Homework is to have exercises 1-10(11, if I can) done by tomorrow.. Friday tomorrow.. long weekend!

October 1/2/5/6, 2009 (whoops..)

So I forgot to blog for the past few days so.. here's whats goin' on.

October 1st, we were supposed to write our test. I didn't write it that day (wrote it the following day on my spare). So, I went home and studied for a bit, then slept before I went to work.

October 2nd, I wasn't here because I was gone for soccer, but we learned the beginning of Transformations. For the record, I understand the stuff we learned then.

October 5th, My god, I understand! It was the stuff about compressions and stretches and such. I know what it means, luckily, so I could actually put it up on the class blog.

October 6th, My grandpa's birthday. We were supposed to learn about flips, evens and odds, and one-to-one transformations. I have NO clue about the evens and odds OR one-to-ones, but I do understand the flips. I understand this stuff to a point but not enough to feel confident.

Next test= 8 days away.. good luck.

September 29, 2009

Today we kind of reviewed what we're doing for our test on Thursday. It all kind of makes sense now but I will be staying for tutoring today to tie up any loose ends I may have.

No class tomorrow so today's the last day for prep... :o!

September 28, 2009

Today we had a sub (Mr. Kevin Penner).

We worked on exercises, accelerated math, whatever we needed to catch up on.

Test on Thursday.. hope I'm prepared!

September 22, 2009

Today was a work period. I worked on my chart (due as soon as possible), and I also worked on the assignment in which we were given today. This assignment is to pick one of the questions we know how to do from one of the old provincial exams and share them with the class through the class blog. I did my question today with the help of Mr Max, and I am confident to say that I understand how it works.

Reflection- September 16, 2009

Today, we reviewed/learned trig. functions.

Review- sine, cosine, and tangent.
Learned- the new way on how to complete the function of sine, cosine and tangent.
- the reciprocals of sine, cosine and tangent (cosecant, secant, and cotangent, respectfully.)

At the start of class, we did the UNIT CIRCLE. Where the points go at certain degrees, and at these points, what the radian is considered.

Homework assignment- Exercise 2 questions 1-10, Exercise 3 question #1.

Reflection- September 15, 2009

Today, we had a substitute teacher. Everything went alright but I wasn't entirely sure what I was doing via, math work. I shall try to learn what we're supposed to be up to speed with today.

Goal Post

My goals from yesterday are as follows.

1) To get 75% or above in this (and all of my remaining) classes.
2) To go to Europe within the next year.
3) To come to a complete decision on what to do next semester.
4) To rewrite my Provincial English Exam (maybe), and recieve 80% or above.
5) To be able to keep up with sports and school/homework.

There are many other goals, but these are the ones that stick out very strongly in my mind for the next year or so.
